Music therapy is continually increasing in recognition and profile internationally, its research evidence base is expanding and consolidating, and theoretical maturity is beginning to emerge. This is an exciting time to be part of the music therapy profession. Choosing music therapy as a career can be challenging, daunting, and exciting. Working with music every day, contributing to positive change in peoples' lives, and having regular opportunities to share and collaborate with other practitioners through teamwork and participation in national and international conferences are some of the aspects that make music therapy a fantastic job.en
