dc.description.abstract | Aristotle, one of the greatest and most influential educational philosophers of all time, was born in 384 BCE in the Northern Greek town of Stagira. He spent his early life in Macedonia and at about the age of 18 travelled to Athens to complete his education. He studied at Plato's Academy. Aristotle was certainly strongly influenced by Plato's teachings but later came to reject some of the most important of them. He is reported to have said: 'Plato is dear to me but dearer still is truth'. | en |
