This chapter included in the collective volume titled "Specialised Curricula for students with autism" and was prepared with funding provided by the European Union and the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. This chapter describes in detail the teaching strategies of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and TEACCh, which represent two current and empirically-validated instructional approaches for the education of students with autism. This chapter is organised into two parts. Part A offers an overview of the four components of Structured Teaching. It outlines all necessary steps to be taken for structuring the physical environment, developing daily schedules, work systems and visually structured tasks. Part B describes the most significant teaching methods for errorless teaching in one-to-one and group situations. In particular, widely used ABA techniques such as task analysis, physical prompting, modelling, visual prompts, fading, shaping are presented in ways that they can be readily applied in the classroom to target behavioural and academic goals.en
