English Abstract: This chapter is a comparison of moods, emotions and spirit in Madhyamika Buddhism and Kierkegaard's Christianity. It analyzes various positive and negative affects and details the spiritual exercises each religion prescribes for either building up or ameliorating their effects. While it finds many close parallels in the philosophical psychology of Buddhism and Christianity, it also finds significant divergences.
