Abstract: The Amphilinidea is a small group of Platyhelminthes comprising eight species (Dubinina 1982). 'Gigantolina magna' is a parasite of marine teleosts, all other species infect freshwater teleosts and turtles. However, one of these, 'Amphilina foliacea', a parasite of sturgeon, is acquired in freshwater but its host migrates into the sea.
