Abstract: Natural resource management is a crucial part of achieving profitability and sustainability gains in the wool industry. Over the past five years, the primary aim of Land, Water & Wool has been to work with woolgrowers to develop viable, practical and beneficial systems and solutions for managing natural resources on their farms. Land, Water & Wool is the most comprehensive natural resource management research and development program ever undertaken for the Australian wool industry. It is a five-year $38 million collaboration between the wool industry's peak research and development body, Australian Wool Innovation Limited, and the nation's premier broker of natural resource management research and development, Land & Water Australia. ... The Project Steering Committee wanted to commemorate the undoubted accomplishments of the regional wool industry in natural resource management over the past 25 years or so. The result is this beautiful Land, Water & Wool New England Wool Calendar, which we hope will inspire woolgrowers and others to build even more prosperous and biodiverse production systems.
