There is uncontrolled security apparatus hindering the free movement of men and women into the public areas. The security concerns and threat perceptions of the countries forces them to adopt the measures adverse to the rights of the humans in the Indo-Gulf Regions. The Gulf regions face the cause and effect of terrorism, yet the laws are made to accept the human rights norms existing in the world. The region cannot ignore the rights of the citizens in framing the legislation as well stringent enough to act as deterrent to terror networks. The paper discusses issues concerning the region in the light of violations of Human Rights, specially in the region as reported by various agencies. The authors are in no case responsible for the independent investigation of violation in all the cases. | Publication Type: | Entry In Reference Work | Source of Publication: | Rethinking India website | Publisher: | rethinkingINDIA.com | Place of Publication: | Online | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 189999 Law and Legal Studies not elsewhere classified | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 940499 Justice and the Law not elsewhere classified | HERDC Category Description: | N Entry In Reference Work | Publisher/associated links: | http://www.rethinkingindia.com/new/node/75 |
