Abstract |
The international transformation of the higher education sector has led to renewed emphasis on support services and learning resources. Information literacy and academic support are now widely seen as critical to student success at the university level. Although student support services have a long history, particularly in the field of distance education, the 1990s witnessed a period of renewal. New learning approaches and fresh theoretical perspectives greatly enhanced the delivery of student support services. In recent years, Learning Commons and the adoption of Web 2.0 technologies have made a significant impact on student support services. |
