In Bali (Indonesia), for example, Bali-cattle, buffaloes and horses are preferred: Bali-cattle for ploughing; buffaloes for both ploughing and carting, and horses for carting only. Little is known of the extent or causes of sex and breed differences in the heat stress experienced during exercise.
