How can you use a virtual world such as Second Life if you don't have a specific class to teach? This paper examines an original method of using Second Life to educate students. It explores an innovative tutorial model incorporating worldwide expertise by inviting national and international guest educators to weekly discussions. Students from two university technology education units used Second Life as part of their unit of study. The model and the student's experiences will be discussed.en
