Title: | Biology, ecology and management of the green mirid, Creontiades dilutus (Stål) in Australia | Contributor(s): | Gregg, Peter (author) | Publication Date: | 2007 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/6065 | Abstract: | The genus 'Lygus' does not occur in Australia. Its nearest analogue, in terms of biology, ecology and pest management, is the green mirid 'Creontiades dilutus' (Stål) (GM). Other papers dealing with the damage, economic thresholds, chemical control and pheromones of GM will be presented at this conference. The aim to this paper is to provide an overview of the biology, ecology and management of the species as background to these presentations. 'C. dilutus' is one of two significant Australian pest species in the genus 'Creontiades Distant', the other being the brown mirid, 'C. pacificus' (Stål). | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | Second International Lygus Symposium, California, United States of America, 15th - 19th April, 2007 | Source of Publication: | Journal of Insect Science, 8(Article 49), p. 13-14 | Publisher: | Oxford University Press | Place of Publication: | United States of America | ISSN: | 1536-2442 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 060208 Terrestrial Ecology 060808 Invertebrate Biology |
