Abstract:

This article presents the student-centered, deep approach to learning. The teaching resources developed for two strategic and services marketing courses have been integrated with several formative and summative assessment tasks. Authentic assessment tasks allowed for deeper engagement of students with the subject content, peers, and the course coordinator. A student-centered deeper approach to learning is evident through the creative thinking and problem solving demonstrated through the provision of solutions to real-life business problems.
