Abstract:

Application proportion of Dorset, Lleyn and Texel lambs unaccounted for, and therefore deemed not to have survived up to 8 weeks of age, ranged from 10%-13%. Lamb survival is a heritable trait in all three breeds indicating that genetic improvement for this trait is possible.
