Abstract |
The dataset consists of several .xlsx files. Firstly, the flow of undigested nutrients and non-starch polysaccharides remaining undigested in the gastrointestinal tract of broilers was measured (files: Paper 1 and Paper 2 raw data). An in vitro efficacy of nine different feed enzymes was evaluated using the digesta samples collected from Experiment 1 (file: Paper 4 raw data). The growth performance, nutrient digestibility, digesta viscosity and numerous gut health indicators were investigated in broilers offered the wheat- or maize-based diet supplemented with or without exogenous feed enzymes, in the presence or absence of necrotic enteritis (file: Paper 5 and 6 raw data). Throughout the study, digesta samples were collected from the digestive tract and analysed for non-starch polysaccharides using Gas Chromatography.
