Abstract |
<p>Capacity building in the countries in the Asia-Pacific region should concern anyone interested in the development of the region. Capacity building touches key aspects of life including social, political, and economic dimensions. In the region, Australia is the most stable state with functioning social and political policies as well as enjoying the strongest economy in the region and should be seen to partner in solutions to capacity building for the other countries with weaker economies. This research aims to find out in what ways Australia could present possible pathways for the region. How could educational programs such as vocational education programs and tertiary education assist fill in the gaps in capacity building in the Asia Pacific regions? This study will employ a mixed method approach and will research capacity-building in countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Data related to capacity building in the last 3 years will be collected. Policy documents and government websites will be studied. Surveys will be sent out to government departments in countries in the region.</p>
