Abstract/Context: This data set is the basis for a meta-analysis investigating the relationship of purpose in life with depression and anxiety across studies. The data set includes information for 99 effect sizes based on a total of 66,468 participants. Effect sizes and potential moderator information is presented in the rows. Column headings describe the nature of the information, such as whether the effect size is for the association of purpose in life with depression or anxiety, the number of participants contributing to the effect size, the mean age of the sample, and the percent of females in the sample. The data was extracted in 2022.
