Abstract:

From 2016 SiMERR, UNE employed a QuickSmart Coordinator in each of DCC and ASCC to:

  1. oversee the program operations;
  2. provide targeted support to Prisoner Instructors; and
  3. provide supplementary instruction to prisoners in identification of learning needs and in advanced skills instruction.

A systems approach was adopted to identify how operational matters affected the delivery of QuickSmart instruction, and ways that issues identified might be better addressed.
