Abstract: Oz Soils is a CD-ROM based interactive multimedia program that assists students in understanding the fundamental concepts and processes of soil science. Funded by CUTSD and developed in 1997 at the University of New England, the 18 teaching modules have been integrated into the teaching curriculum of Soil Science 211 (internal), and Soil Science 212 (external)). Oz Soils makes use of interactive animations, still graphics, and text, and includes interactive self-assessment questions.
