Abstract: We live in a time of immense possibility. It is also a time of change and uncertainty. In such times, hope is a precious gift which provides the mortar in a sound dwelling. Hope is nurtured in many ways. The contributors to this volume argue that all education exercises a critical role in shaping future society which is strong in hope. In particular, Catholic schools have a unique gift to offer through their identification with a specific culture and values.
