Title: | Supervisor-Student Conversations in the early Stages of Research | Contributor(s): | Maxwell, Thomas William (author) | Publication Date: | 2001 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/4291 | Abstract: | This paper addresses a number of important issues related to establishing a research project by a postgrad student. The paper takes the form of a series of conversations between a student and a supervisor. They correspond to the kinds of conversations that a postgrad and supervisor might have in the early stages of the research process, until the researcher is beginning to gather data. The conversations are based upon the experiences of the writer but none are identifiable situations and the complexities of co-supervision have been largely excluded. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | FEHPS 2001: Faculty of Education, Health and Professional Studies 2001 Postgraduate Induction, Armidale, Australia, 20th - 21st July, 2001 | Source of Publication: | Presentation at the FEHPS Postgraduate Induction, p. 1-15 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 130313 Teacher Education and Professional Development of Educators | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 930599 Education and Training Systems not elsewhere classified | HERDC Category Description: | E2 Non-Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication |
