Abstract |
Editor's Acknowledgments: Many people have assisted with the task of preparing these Proceedings and deserve our heartfelt thanks. The support of the Cicerone Project's Board has been wonderful. Special mention must be made of the enormous efforts of Cicerone's Executive Officer, Caroline Gaden, in putting the symposium together and in getting the presenters and papers submitted. The symposium has been co-convened by the Cicerone Project Inc. and the University of New England's Centre for Sustainable Farming Systems. The efforts of the referees from the Centre – Paul Kristiansen, Chris Guppy, Janelle Wilkes and Graeme Blair – are much appreciated. The assistance provided by Craig Birchall in formatting the Proceedings was invaluable. In addition, special mention must be made of the supply of complex datasets to many of the authors by Colin Lord and Jim Cook of the University of New England's Relational Database Unit. Of course, this Proceedings would not have been possible without the generous time devoted to the task of writing these informative papers by the many authors – we thank them sincerely. Finally, my thanks to the staff of the University of New England's Printery who have once again created a quality printed document for the benefit of Symposium.
