|Title:||Interim Analyses of Commendations & Recommendations in Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) Audit Reports||Contributor(s):||Cooksey, Ray Wagner (author)||Publication Date:||2004||Handle Link:||https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/4105||Abstract:||This paper provides an interim thematic analysis of 220 Commendations and 372 Recommendations issued in first 17 publicly released Audit Reports issued by the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA) as well as in the unpublished trial Audit Report on the University of New South Wales. Ten distinct macro themes are identified (e.g., International, Quality Assurance, Research, Teaching & Learning), each of which is subdivided into several micro-level themes. In a separate analysis, a range of organisational actions implicated in AUQA Recommendations is thematically extracted and summarised. Quantitative count statistic summaries of emergent themes, coupled with a Leximancer text-mining concept map, permit some preliminary conclusions to be drawn about what AUQA tends to focus on in its audits of Australian universities.||Publication Type:||Conference Publication||Conference Name:||18th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, Dunedin, New Zealand, December 8 - December 11 2004||Conference Details:||18th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management, Dunedin, New Zealand, December 8 - December 11 2004||Source of Publication:||Proceedings of the 18th Annual Conference of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management||Publisher:||ANZAM: Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management||Place of Publication:||Dunedin, New Zealand||Field of Research (FOR):||150399 Business and Management not elsewhere classified||Peer Reviewed:||Yes||HERDC Category Description:||E1 Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication||Other Links:||http://www.business.otago.ac.nz/mgmt/ANZAM2004/CD/Papers/abstract55.htm||Statistics to Oct 2018:||Visitors: 95
