dc.description.abstractAustralian Parliaments have introduced various provisions designed to modify the law of negligence as it applies to Good Samaritans and volunteers. This paper will consider the perceived need that the parliaments were seeking to address and will consider the impact the legislation may have on the legal liability of people who come forward to assist in an emergency and the liability of emergency service organisations that have volunteer members.en
