Abstract: Accessing an outdoor range may affect broiler welfare. The degree of these effects is likely related to individual ranging behaviour. However little is known about the ranging behaviour of individual free-range broiler chickens or the effects of seasonal variation. This study investigated ranging patterns of ROSS 308 broiler chickens on a commercial free-range farm.
