Abstract: Review question
What are the challenges and facilitators of weight loss of rural adults with obesity?
There is a shortage of research on adults' experiences of living with obesity and losing weight, particularly within rural areas across the globe.
This review focuses on those experiences of being obese and losing weight in rural locations where there may be a lack of access to fresh foods, weight loss facilities such as gyms, and supportive clinicians who are typically found in urbanized areas. The personal experiences will focus on the psychological, social, and economic impacts as well as the health effects of being obese within rural areas.
