Title: | How to plan, deliver and evaluate a training session | Contributor(s): | Fraser, John (author) | Publication Date: | 2004 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/3094 | Abstract: | Measuring quality in postgraduate general practice education is complex and has been likened to 'looking inside a black box'. Most models focus on the 'preceptorship' relationship between teacher and learner. In this relationship, a variety of learning opportunities can be offered in a supportive environment to achieve educational outcomes and goals. Translating these curriculum goals and learning plans into educational programs requires the planning, delivery and evaluation of educational sessions by general practitioner supervisors and medical educators. The assessment and documentation of these processes are key aspects of quality assurance within educational programs. Despite this, clinicians receive limited instruction in this vital task. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | Australian Family Physician, 33(6), p. 453-455 | Publisher: | Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) | Place of Publication: | Australia | ISSN: | 0300-8495 | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 111799 Public Health and Health Services not elsewhere classified 130108 Technical, Further and Workplace Education 111708 Health and Community Services |
