Kindness is at the very least a key element in what makes us human. It is important for social cohesion and acting in a kind manner to others provides us with agency in a time of ethical overload. The practice of kindness benefits others and ourselves. Is, however, kindness sufficient for an ethical life? Is kindness enough? It is suggested here that the answer may be in the negative. We need to challenge injustice.en
