Title: | Grass not fungus: 'Walwhalleya nom. nov.' (Poaceae, Paniceae) | Contributor(s): | Bruhl, Jeremy James (author) ; Wilson, Peter G (author); Wills, Karen (author) | Publication Date: | 2006 | DOI: | 10.1071/SB06004 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/2802 | Abstract: | The name 'Whalleya' K.E. Wills & J.J. Bruhl was published for an Australian grass genus (Wills et al. 2000). However, it is illegitimate as it is a later homonym of the fungal genus 'Whalleya' J.D. Rogers, Y.M. Ju & San Martin (Rogers et al. 1997). We now provide a legitimate name for that grass genus, new combinations for the three species of the genus, and lectotypify two basionyms. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | Australian Systematic Botany, 19(4), p. 327-328 | Publisher: | CSIRO Publishing | Place of Publication: | Australia | ISSN: | 1446-5701 1030-1887 |
