Abstract |
This paper discusses relationships among literature for adolescents in books, on the www and on CD ROMs. It explores both familiar and new forms of literary narratives, also acknowledging electronic game narratives. Online resources for developing a range of dimensions of literary engagement are illustrated including the contexts of composition/genesis of stories, invitation/enticement to read, appreciation/celebration, interpretation/response, and adjunct creation/composition based on source literary texts. Examples of innovative learning experiences for students are discussed and the management of such learning experiences in extended programs of classroom work is also addressed.
