Abstract: | This portfolio contributes to a growing body of research into walking and creativity. The six poems explore walking as an approach to place-attunement. Following the work of other perambulatory artists, I composed poetry about Western Australian landscapes perceived corporeally through walking. The poems express sensorial responses and, in particular, capture the nuances of my encounters with flora. | Publication Type: | NTRO Portfolio | Publisher: | John C Ryan | Place of Publication: | Armidale, Australia | Fields of Research (FoR) 2008: | 190402 Creative Writing (incl Playwriting) | Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) 2008: | 959999 Cultural Understanding not elsewhere classified 961308 Remnant Vegetation and Protected Conservation Areas at Regional or Larger Scales 970119 Expanding Knowledge through Studies of the Creative Arts and Writing |
