Abstract: The area of land in Australia under certified organic management continues to grow. The regulatory framework for organic certification in Australia Certification has remained stable with little change in the past year. However, the organic industry and the Australian Government continue to respond to global organic developments through review of the National Standard for Organic and BioDynamic Produce (National Standard), which was revised in 2016. Timely rain and a good growing season across Australia generally in 2016 bode well for supply of organic produce across most sectors.
