Introduction: The demand for poultry products, and hence poultry feed is expected to increase in the future (Verbeke et al., 2015). Black Soldier Fly ('Hermetia illucens') larvae (BSF) contains up to 26% fat and 40% protein (dry matter based) with 9% methionine and thus can be considered as a sustainable high quality protein source for poultry feed (De Marco et al., 2015). The present study was designed to determine the effect of choice feeding with BSF on flock performance of free-range laying hens.en
