Abstract: This comprehensive and groundbreaking book is the first national study on the lived experiences of female-to-male (FtM) transgender people in Australia. Its release comes at a time when transgender stories are gaining increasing public attention (e.g. 'Call Me Caitlin', the Vanity Fair cover story about former Olympian, Bruce Jenner) and countries, including Australia, are debating more inclusive marriage laws, making this book relevant and current. In an easy to read style, this publication provides a rare glimpse inside the rich, complex and varied world of being a transgender person.
