Abstract: The Magnet recognition movement is a bit like the infamous British yeast spread Marmite® - people either love it or hate it and a few people even love to hate it. However, there is no doubt that Magnet has made a positive difference to the quality of care and staff satisfaction in numerous health care organisations in the USA, Middle East and Australasia, and indeed multiple studies support this view.
