Abstract: This little 'Guide' is intended to supply, as fully as may be in a small compass, an admitted want in Colonial literature. To those who, from choice or necessity, are proposing to try their fortune as stock-raisers abroad, the following pages are addressed by one who has passed through a lengthened experience of the sheep-farmer's life in its various phases, in the assurance that no country can equal Australia in the advantages which it offers to such an enterprise, and in the hope that the practical hints which are offered will prove of value to intending settlers.
