|Title:||A simple method for the measurement of endogenous β-glucanase activity in wheat||Contributor(s):||Waters, D L E (author); Choct, Mingan (author)||Publication Date:||1998||Handle Link:||https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/17488||Abstract:||The nutritive value of cereal grains for poultry generally changes during storage. It is believed that this change is due to the activity of endogenous glycanases which degrade the viscous non-starch polysaccharides. However, these enzymes are present at such low levels in ungerminated wheat that measurement of their activity is difficult (Lee and Ronalds, 1972). We report here a simple procedure for the measurement of endogenous β-glucanase activity.||Publication Type:||Conference Publication||Conference Name:||10th Annual Australian Poultry Science Symposium, Sydney, Australia, 1998||Source of Publication:||Proceedings of the Australian Poultry Science Symposium 1998, p. 204-204||Publisher:||Poultry Research Foundation, University of Sydney||Place of Publication:||Sydney, Australia||ISSN:||1034-6260||Field of Research (FOR):||070204 Animal Nutrition||Peer Reviewed:||Yes||HERDC Category Description:||E1 Refereed Scholarly Conference Publication||Other Links:||http://sydney.edu.au/vetscience/apss/documents/1998/APSS1998-waters-p204.pdf||Series Name:||Australian Poultry Science Symposium Proceedings||Series Number :||10||Statistics to Oct 2018:||Visitors: 130
