dc.description.abstract | Sexually transmissible infections (STIs) are a public health problem in Vietnam. It is necessary to strengthen STI control and prevention in order to reduce STI infection, and the health, social and economic consequences of STI infection. The physicians are at the core of the efforts to provide STI prevention and care services. However, there is a limited amount of information on STI management in medical practice in Vietnam. There has not been a study that comprehensively covers STI care topics such as knowledge of STI asymptomatic epidemiology, understanding the notifiable requirements of STIs, and STI diagnostic tests, history taking practice, the use of contact tracing, the syndromic management strategy and organizational issues that affect the quality of STI care. The present study on management of STIs by medical practitioners in Vietnam addresses that missing knowledge. | en |
