To assess the current requirements, a series of physiological responses in terms of growth performance, visceral organ development, gut morphology, meat yield, tissue protein and digestive enzyme activity, myofibre characteristics, haematological indices, plasma metabolites and nutrient utilization were examined. Each study is presented as a stand-alone research paper. Each abstract in the relevant chapter highlights the major findings of each study.||Publication Type:||Thesis Doctoral||Field of Research Codes:||070204 Animal Nutrition||Rights Statement:||Copyright 2014 - Jahanur Rahman Amin||Open Access Embargo:||2017-03-20||HERDC Category Description:||T2 Thesis - Doctorate by Research||Other Links:||http://www.wpsa.com/proceedings/ESPN_2013/assets/pdf/0076.pdf||Statistics to Oct 2018:||Visitors: 223
