Abstract
Cherry (Geraldine Edith) Robertson (1910-2010) has described memorably our and her own experiences, and observations of the University of New England in her 'Long Youth Long Pleasure: Adventures Behind the Scenes at the University of New England' (LYLP). Several of the chapters in the much later issued 'Cherry Robertson - Episodes in the Life of a Very Special Person' (CRL), are also relevant to our savouring of her UNE time, while her life in the context of the various towns she lived in, with the last 54 of her almost 100 years being spent in Armidale, is also treated illuminatingly in 'New England Lives IV' (NEL IV). This present celebratory compilation of Armidale higher educational anniversaries complements these well known writings of hers, and the later book from her includes selections from letters of hers concerned to capture the life of UNE.
