In the current higher education environment, individuals require an inspiring context within in which they can have the best possible opportunity to achieve their educational, professional and personal goals. UNE is a progressive university which continuously strives to produce active and productive research and development activities across educational technologies and associated pedagogies. As a direct consequence of UNE's commitment to such improvement, in December, 2011, Directorate reviews were undertaken for International Marketing and Pathways (IMP), and English Language and International Services (ELIS). In February of 2012, the International portfolio was joined with the Educational Innovation and Technologies portfolios under the title of PVC Educational Innovation and International (PVCEII). At this time it was identified that there were significant synergies to be explored between the Directorates which would enable UNE to fully exploit its potential with respect to domestic and international online learning opportunities.en
