dc.description.abstract | Deforestation is manifestation of increasing exploitation of forest resource for human needs. This has been a worldwide phenomenon, and has become acute in third world countries like India. Even though the forest Policy to safeguard forest resource by conservation and protection has continued since 1890s in India. The objective was to preserved forest so that future generation can use fuelwood and timber. The present book analysis deforestation from political angle.
