Title: | On boundary conditions in the lattice Boltzmann model for advection and anisotropic dispersion equation | Contributor(s): | Zhang, Xiaoxian (author); Crawford, John W (author); Bengough, A Glyn (author); Young, Iain (author) | Publication Date: | 2002 | DOI: | 10.1016/S0309-1708(02)00027-1 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/15237 | Abstract: | A mirror-image method is proposed in this paper to solve the boundary conditions in the lattice Boltzmann model proposed by Zhang et al. [Adv. Water Resour. 25 (2002) 1] for the advection and anisotropic dispersion of solute transport in porous media. Three types of boundary are considered: prescribed concentration boundary, prescribed flux boundary and prescribed concentration-gradient boundary. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified against benchmark problems and finite difference method. | Publication Type: | Journal Article | Source of Publication: | Advances in Water Resources, 25(6), p. 601-609 | Publisher: | Elsevier Ltd | Place of Publication: | United Kingdom | ISSN: | 1872-9657 0309-1708 |
