Abstract: This paper presents the results of a recent programme of archaeometallurgical analyses which has provided evidence for changes in metal extraction and alloying techniques in southeastern Arabia from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age. This research was undertaken as a doctoral thesis at the University of Sydney between 1996 and 2000.
