Abstract: The articles presented in this volume represent a selection from papers submitted to the 'Education Across Space and Time' Distance Education Summit held in Sydney, Australia in February 2013. All papers were subjected to a double-blind peer-review process and those papers adjudged as the most impressive were selected for publication in a Special Issue of Distance Education which will be published shortly after the Summit. The remaining papers selected are available as Open Educational Resources (OERs) from the Summit 2013 website For those who wish access to those papers in a single volume they have been collated into this book which is available on a pay-per issue basis. We have endeavoured to keep to the formatting provided by the authors, but where appropriate for this format have undertaken minor editing and formatting.
