Abstract: • Investigate the effectiveness of facilitated versus non facilitated clinical placements • Explore the perceptions of student nurses and clinical facilitators in identifying and determining barriers in the provision of effective clinical learning during clinical placements • Identify strategies for improving clinical learning within the Clinical Facilitation model of clinical education • Identify strategies to maintain/ improve quality within the clinical component of undergraduate nursing curricula within a rural university
