Abstract: Ability grouping and student attitudes toward physical education are often discussed as separate entities. There is very little 'out there' that combines these two concepts of grouping and attitudes. So what happens if aspects of these two concepts are combined. but with a novel twist? What if classes are grouped, not by actual ability as measured by a skills test, but by perceived ability?
