Title: | The UNE EdASP: Main findings and an evaluation | Contributor(s): | Maxwell, Thomas William (author); Smith, Howard John (author) | Publication Date: | 2007 | Handle Link: | https://hdl.handle.net/1959.11/10019 | Abstract: | A HEIP grant to UNE provided funding for web-based mentoring for UNE 2004 alumni during 2005 supporting the transition from teacher graduate to teacher. This program was unique in that it provided 'large scale' support to all UNE 2004 teacher graduates focusing of encouraging peer support mechanisms in addition to lecturer mentoring. This paper reports on major project processes and products and presents relevant evaluation data in support of the view that some beginning teachers gained considerably from access to online support. Issues arising from the project concerning online support and teacher education will be considered. | Publication Type: | Conference Publication | Conference Details: | AARE 2006: International Education Research Conference: Engaging Pedagogies, Adelaide, Australia, 26th - 30th November, 2006 | Source of Publication: | AARE Conference Papers, v.2006, p. 1-18 | Publisher: | Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE) | Place of Publication: | Melbourne, Australia | ISSN: | 1324-9339 1324-9320 |
