Dr Elena Dehnavi has joined the Animal Genetics and Breeding Unit (AGBU), UNE since early 2021. Elena has been working on index selection, breeding design and estimation of genetic parameters for the Australian sheep industry. Her previous experience includes marker-assisted selection, genomic selection, reference population breeding design, simulation, imputation, data management, and data analysis across a range of animals. She has dealt with both industrial sectors and academic communities, which has considerably expanded her interdisciplinary skills. She has recently joined an AWI project working on flystrike. |
