Abstract
There are a number of concerns in our society today relating to children and families. It seems that children and families are under increased pressure and outcomes are worsening (Stanley, 2001). Current service delivery models do not appear to be effective in making the broad-based changes necessary to improve their lives. What appears to be needed is a new approach to service delivery; one founded on a different set of underpinning assumptions about the world and the way it operates.
