Abstract
The authors of this book, Michael Williams, currently the Social Inclusion Coordinator of a comprehensive school in the UK, and Colin Pritchard, Research Professor of Psychiatric Social Work at the University of Bournemouth, put forward a multi-professional approach towards alleviating educational alienation that has been found successful in a comprehensive school in the UK. The book is split into two parts with the first part being more theoretical and the second part providing a more practical approach to working with children who are educationally disaffected for various reasons.
